Great work, had so many elements, and they all worked well together. Only thing that caught my ear was the kick drum near the begining hit a bit hard.

This song def took me back, sounds like some old school trance. It is somewhat simple but has a nice sound.

From your description I was expecting it to totally suck ass, lool. But it was not bad at all, just needs some more variation.
Looks like you have a lot of tracks under your belt too, there was def some good stuff in there.
